Famine will be a part of end-time prophecies. Right now, weather conditions are wreaking havoc with world food prices. The USDA has been under-reporting the disastrous fall in production and storage which has actually occurred. Currently, we have only enough grain to provide half a loaf of bread for every American should a general disaster occur, causing grain future prices to rise precipitously. Famine has been historically designated as a consequence for transgressing the commandments of God, meted out as a consequence for national sin. It would be well for God's people to be forewarned, prudently storing quantities of food in preparation of a national emergency.
