The Pattern of Creation

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Mike Ford

God has created a vast universe, yet His focus remains on Planet Earth, where life and creation are central. Throughout the Bible, the heavens, including the sun, moon, and stars, are mentioned only in relation to Earth, while billions, perhaps trillions, of galaxies remain undeveloped, awaiting their purpose. Earth stands unique, with an atmosphere perfectly suited for life—about 80 percent nitrogen, 20 percent oxygen, and traces of other gases—protecting it from the sun's harsh rays. Unlike Venus, with its carbon dioxide-laden air and sulfuric acid clouds, or Mars, lacking sufficient oxygen, Earth's conditions sustain life. Jupiter acts as a shield, sweeping away debris that could threaten Earth, while the moon stabilizes its rotation, preventing drastic climate shifts. Earth's size is also ideal; if smaller, it could not retain its atmosphere, and if larger, it might become a gas giant, too hot for life. In the grand plan, there is a pattern for creation, and as members of the God Family, there lies the potential to develop other planets, following the blueprint of light, water, and wind that has proven successful on Earth. With Christ as the guide, the opportunity exists to transform barren worlds into places of beauty and life, mirroring the pattern set by God's creation.

The End Is Not Yet

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

There has been speculation among some who call themselves Christians about a planetary alignment involving the sun, the moon, and Jupiter in the constellation Virgo, alongside Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Leo. They claim this alignment signifies a major prophetic event, suggesting it fulfills specific scriptural imagery and indicates the imminent return of Jesus Christ. However, such interpretations rely on unfounded numerology and astrology, lacking grounding in the clear, straightforward prophecies of Scripture. These events are not presented as reliable signs of Christ's return, and such speculative leaps distract from the true focus on spiritual readiness and adherence to God's revealed Word.

A GPS for our Spiritual Pilgrimage

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by David F. Maas

God created the mighty constellations, as described in Job 9:9, where He asks Job, "Who makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades?" These massive heavenly bodies enabled navigation long before any man-made devices, serving as a testament to the intricate design of the Almighty. The navigation systems wired into birds like the arctic tern and the robin, and fish like the salmon, surpass even the most advanced human inventions in their precision and sophistication. God also provided Israel with a divine visual display during their journey, a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, guiding them through their wilderness wanderings with unmatched clarity and care.

Does Doctrine Really Matter? (Part Thirteen)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The elect are not immune to antinomian deception, including the doctrine of eternal security, the total depravity of man, unconditional love, and cheap grace.

Does Doctrine Really Matter? (Part Nine)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The cosmology of ancient Greece, saturated with astrology and Gnostic dualism, filtered into the doctrines of the early church, creating corrupt doctrines.
