Eternal Torment?

'Prophecy Watch' by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

Eternal death, as the recompense for the wicked, stands in stark contrast to the hope of resurrection for the faithful. The Lake of Fire, described in Revelation, serves as the ultimate place of final punishment where mortal men like the Beast and False Prophet are utterly consumed by flames that devour all, as the elements melt with fervent heat and the earth itself is burned up. For Satan and the demons, being spirit beings, the torment in the Lake of Fire may endure for a longer, though still indeterminate, time before they expire, suffering the torture and excruciating pain of fervent heat with unstinting thoroughness, as God delivers the most painful and complete punishment they rightfully deserve. God's perfect judgment ensures that all sin and sinners, including the Adversary and his demons, are completely erased from existence, allowing only righteousness to dwell in the new heavens and new earth.
