The law of God is a fundamental part of the way to the Kingdom of God, defining the path that must be followed. As Psalm 119:1 states, blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. This law is not the entire picture but constitutes a major portion of the package, an essential doctrine that cannot be omitted. The way of God is further illuminated in Psalm 119:9-10, where a young man cleanses his way by taking heed according to God's Word, seeking Him with a whole heart and striving not to wander from His commandments. The law encompasses a broad range of commandments, statutes, and judgments, as seen in Psalm 119:14, 27, 30, 32-33, and 35-36, where the psalmist rejoices in the way of God's testimonies, seeks understanding of His precepts, chooses the way of truth through His judgments, and delights in the path of His commandments. The Sabbath is a commandment, and the holy days are statutes, integral to this way, and cannot be left out of the mix. God's Word serves as a lamp to the feet and a light to the path, ensuring one does not trip or wander from the way, as noted in Psalm 119:105. Removing any of the commandments from this package risks destroying God's purpose, for they play a major role in producing a product in His image. If any are taken out, the product will be deficient and cannot be assembled correctly. In the millennial vision of Isaiah 11:9, the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, and no one will hurt or destroy in His holy mountain because everyone will live by the same rules—God's rules. To fit into this community, one must be practiced in living by these standards, not dismissing any as silly or unnecessary. Without adherence to God's law, community life becomes impossible, as seen in Genesis 6:5, where the absence of a set standard led to great wickedness, prompting God to wipe out and restart humanity. The law of God regulates relationships between men and God, and between men and other men, forming the basis for a community where standards are engraved in each person's character, eliminating even the thought of transgression. However, recent teachings within the church suggest that certain commandments, statutes, and judgments do not need to be kept, subtly deflecting from the true purpose of life and implying that keeping God's commandments serves no positive function in reaching the goal God is working out. This severance of good works, which include commandment keeping, from their God-intended purpose undermines the way to the Kingdom of God.

The Law of God remains a major part of the New Covenant. The Law of God is written in hearts through obedience coupled with forgiveness, the receipt of God's Spirit, Christ's continual intercession, and access to God's presence. The New Covenant through the work of Jesus Christ provides the means for those making the covenant to have the Law written in hearts. Obedience to the Law of God is still required. The Law of God is an entire way of life that includes laws. The Law of God comes into the picture of His purpose to provide guidance about how to live. Man shall live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The source of the bread from the Law of God is more important than the bread itself. All Scripture including the Old Testament is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The Law of God makes one wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The Law of God furnishes one unto all good works. Things written in the Old Testament were written for learning that Christians through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. All these things happened unto the children of Israel for examples and were written for admonition upon whom the ends of the ages are come. The Law of God shows how God dealt with people and how they reacted. The Law of Moses was written down for Christians' sakes. The Law of Moses provides authority and proof to the New Testament Christian. The Law of Moses is remembered at the time of Christ's return. Jesus Christ did not come to destroy the Law or the prophets but to fulfill. Till heaven and earth pass one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law till all be fulfilled. Whosoever shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so shall be called the least in the Kingdom of heaven. The Law of God connects with good works and righteousness. The Law of God is the vehicle and focus through which praise is offered. The Law of God is perfect converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. The Law of God is more to be desired than gold and sweeter than honey. By the Law of God one is warned and in keeping of them there is great reward. The Law of God is torah meaning revealed truth. The Law of the Lord is perfect meaning complete whole and nothing can be added to make it better as a guide to conduct. The Law of the Lord converts the soul meaning it revives restores heals turns a person from sin and delivers from death to holiness of life. The testimonies of the Lord are absolute and established. The statutes of the Lord are mandates precepts rules appointed by authority. The commandment of the Lord is free from imperfection stain or corrupt tendency. The Law of God cleanses one in order to make one holy. The Law of God endures forever. The judgments of the Lord are a correct representation of reality entirely in accord with truth. God's administration of His government through the Law is always righteous. By the Law of God one is illuminated to see duties plainly and consequences of disobedience plainly. The Law of God must be preached that a person might see himself as he really is. The Law of God cleans a person up with the help of God's Spirit from the inside out. Duties that God commanded in former ages are no longer required yet the principles the spirit of those things are still required. Jesus Christ in His magnification of the Law makes more personal and binding than ever the spirit of the very laws men say are done away.
