• Psalm 37:1-15
    A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers,
    Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
    For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
    And wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good;
    Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
    Delight yourself also in the LORD,
    And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD,
    Trust also in Him,
    And He shall bring it to pass.
    He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
    And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
    Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
    Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
    Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
    Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off;
    But those who wait on the LORD,
    They shall inherit the earth.
    For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
    Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
    But it shall be no more.
    But the meek shall inherit the earth,
    And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just,
    And gnashes at him with his teeth.
    The Lord laughs at him,
    For He sees that his day is coming.
    The wicked have drawn the sword
    And have bent their bow,
    To cast down the poor and needy,
    To slay those who are of upright conduct.
    Their sword shall enter their own heart,
    And their bows shall be broken.

  • Isaiah 40:31
    But those who wait on the LORD
    Shall renew their strength;
    They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
    They shall run and not be weary,
    They shall walk and not faint.

  • Psalm 27:14
    Wait on the LORD;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the LORD!

  • Luke 18:1
    Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

  • Luke 18:8
    I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

  • Romans 8:28
    And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

  • James 5:7-10
    Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.
