A wartime story about George H.W. Bush captures a profound truth: if a nation would risk so much to rescue one pilot, how much more does God care for every human life? Scripture reveals God's care through seven tender pictures: a mother comforting, a father showing compassion, a nurse cherishing, a shepherd seeking the lost, a hen sheltering her young, an eagle training its offspring to soar, and a bridegroom rejoicing over his beloved. His care is personal, constant, sacrificial, and everlasting. Because God cares, we can surrender our anxieties in prayer, trust His timing, endure trials with faith, and carry one another's burdens. Above all, His love is proven at the crucifixion, where Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Whatever burdens we carry, Jesus still invites us to come to Him and find rest.
