God's sovereignty and rulership are possibly the highest, most essential reality. John the Baptist, the quintessential humble person, was characterized as one who submitted to the reality and governance of God. Moses, designated as the meekest person who ever lived, also silently relied on God in the middle of public contention. The reality of God's governance was a greater reality than Moses' supposed flaws or foibles. God will do the fixing if the problem needs to be fixed. Likewise, unrighteousness anger and hostility is also a denial of the reality of God. Moses was denied entrance into the Promised Land because he momentarily forgot this principle of the reality of God's governance. Nevertheless, both Moses and John the Baptist kept this principle foremost in their minds through most of their lives.
