In the lands occupied by Jacob's offspring, Thanksgiving has degenerated into self-indulgence, with the Source of blessings obliterated (Deuteronomy 8:11-17). Not only has modern Israel forgotten the source of physical blessings, but it has also glorified everything that is perverse, waxing infinitely worse than Sodom and Gomorrah. The biggest need for the physical and spiritual offspring of Jacob is intimacy with Almighty God. In I Thessalonians 5:26, the apostle Paul advocated a holy kiss, but because the reprobate LBGT community has tainted the meaning of love, this practice for the western world has been aborted. But God has established marriage and the family to model the intimacy God expects of His called-out ones. The potential is there, but Satan's agenda has damaged the ideal. The intimacy between Adam and Eve, Ruth and Boaz, and Mary and Joseph have never been doubted. The raw fact that most parents would be willing to die in place of their children illustrates the potential for familial intimacy in the human and the God family.
