Contrary to the belief that most of the Christian professing world hold that we are saved by the death of Jesus Christ, in reality we are saved by His life (as both He and God the Father live their lives in us John 14:23), empowering us through His Holy Spirit to enter the lifelong sanctification process (II Thessalonians 2:13). As our High Priest, Jesus Christ is not sitting around at the Father's throne, but helps us to understand the seriousness of the need to overcome sins, producing godly fruit, walking in the light as He is in the light, forgiving our sins as we repent in deep and sincere sorrow. He faithfully sends angels as ministering spirits (from the 2/3 that did not rebel with Satan—Ezekiel 28:11-15, Isaiah 14:12, Revelation 12:3-4) intervening for us when we get in over our heads. God be thanked forever for His kindness, love, and care of His vulnerable children.
