Most professing Christians believe that the Old Testament laws were meant for the Jews only, while grace, as taught by the New Testament, replaced the harsh Old Testament law. Incredibly, some people in the greater church of God have succumbed to this perilous Protestant lie that we do not need to be overly concerned about sinning because we are under God's grace. Too many Protestants and Evangelicals believe they no longer need the Old Testament, publishing New Testament Bible versions only with the Psalms and Proverbs, rejecting the Law, Prophets, and Writings, which the apostle Paul called the foundation with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 3:20). Sadly, people have twisted Paul's writings (II Peter 3:16) forgetting that he is one of the biggest proponents of law keeping, in alignment with Jesus' half-brother James. In the battle between Jesus and Satan, Jesus used Old Testament scriptures exclusively. All scripture is given by inspiration of God (God-breathed). Both teach that salvation is conditional, as Christ reminds us in Matthew 7:27, depending on doing the will of God the Father, which mandates the keeping of His commandments, which will not pass away until all is fulfilled—that is, we will be composed of God's holy and spiritual law, constituting our first rather than our second nature.
