Our concepts of time and God Almighty's concept of time (the Creator of time and eternity) are vastly different. God's timing is perfect while ours is out of sync, hit and miss, full of missed opportunities, as well as positive things falling into place, such as the attaining of a compatible spouse. If we are in sync with God's timing, positive things happen, and if we are out of sync, we can expect occasional disappointments and regrets. Over the years, we have seen doors open to us and doors closed to us. Sometimes we forcefully shut the open door and other times we run into a closed door. Romans 8:28 assures us that all things (good, bad, or other) happen to people who love God and are called by His name. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 reminds us that God has set life and death before us, hoping that we choose life. As God's called-out ones, we must have a strong faithful trust in Him for His purpose for our lives. If God is for us, no one can possibly defeat His purpose for us.
