We live in a world of imposters, including mainstream media, social media, big pharma, big tech, career politicians, and the nefarious banking system, enabling the rich to grow richer, while systematically destroying the middle class. Injustice abounds and emotion rules the day. The kleptocratic regimes currently in power are controlled by the father of liars and father of murderers (John 8:44). We feel powerless to fight against the ugly forces of evil. We are taught to sigh and cry for the abominations but have been warned not to meddle in the politics of the nations in which we have been inserted as the ambassadors for God's Kingdom. God has drawn a line to which we cannot cross. If we take on the world's anger, we will soon obsess over our own inadequacy. Interestingly, 80% of successful people, including Maya Angelo and Albert Einstein, feel like they are imposters, feeling that the esteem they received is exaggerated. The Imposter Syndrome leads to an identity crisis and chronic feelings of inadequacy, leading to an exterior covering to protecting exposure of internal feelings of inadequacy. As God's called-out saints, we must learn not to fear but embrace our natural state of inadequacy and yield to God's purpose for us, relying on God's strength and adequacy.
