The leftist legacy media has a knack for entrapping people, attempting to destroy their reputations and character. The Bible gives clear instructions as to how we should respond to the satanically inspired questions by a hopelessly evil media. The scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees performed the same evil function as the media in the days of Jesus Christ, asking gainsaying questions about His authority to trap Him. Jesus uses their tactics to disarm them. The art of asking questions (sometimes referred to as the Socratic Method), casting doubt on another's point of view, sometimes leads to faulty course corrections such as Gnostic Dualism. Deriving knowledge by asking questions has been defined as maieutics (in which the questioner is compared to a midwife birthing ideas). God's use of maieutics precedes Socrates and Plato by 3,000 years as He asks Job questions, refining his previously faulty understanding (unlike the Serpent who used maieutics to lead Mother Eve into doubt). Throughout the Bible, we find 3,300 questions—some used for good purposes and some for bad. Questions force the people being questioned to a stance which sometimes "condemns" them or "convicts" them into repentance—as in Job's case. Asking questions and listening is an effective way to find the experts. We must carefully study the intent of questions before answering.
