In addressing the limitations of human understanding, the apostle Paul humbly acknowledges the partial nature of our knowledge and inspired teaching. He states in I Corinthians 13:9, "For we know in part and we prophesy in part." This concept of prophesying includes any inspired teaching, extending beyond merely foretelling the future. Even as a servant blessed with great revelation and used by God to write much of the New Testament, Paul admits that his inspired speaking and understanding remain incomplete. This recognition underscores the broader message that the value lies not in the extent of our knowledge, but in how we apply it and the manner in which we do so, always tempered by humility and the mind of Christ.
