Being Alert to Our Enemy

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

Like the cycles of the seasons, the events of prophecy follow natural progressions. God has given ample warnings to His prophets to prepare His people.

Satan and the Holy Days

Sermonette by Cody Ford

Satan, as shown by scriptural examples, often intensifies attacks during periods of spiritual growth and near the Holy Days when God's work is being done. For many, it is a cause of anxiety to see what trials and temptations that Satan will stir up. Instead of bringing relaxation as the Holy Days approach, we might feel dread. During the days of Unleavened Bread, we are to get sin out of our lives and spiritually grow into a more mature part of the body. As Jesus was reaching the beginning of his ministry, Satan tempted him for forty days. To divide King David from God, he influenced him to take the census which brought a curse on David's kingdom. During Passover time in Luke 22, Satan went inside Judas for the betrayal, and that is one of the times in the Bible that shows the direct action during a Holy Day from the Adversary. However, when Satan increases our fear and anxiety, we are to rely on God as demonstrated in I Peter 5:7 by "casting our cares" upon the Lord. We are to remember all the times God has rescued us from trials and use that faith to steadfastly navigate through Satan's roadblocks.

Beware the Second Flood (Part Two)

CGG Weekly by David C. Grabbe

Our minds adapt to what we focus on. We can damage or even destroy faith through abuse or neglect. Without being refreshed in what He says, faith weakens.

No One Else Matters (Part Two)

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

Sin has tainted the most faithful leaders. Most (perhaps all) church leaders have skeletons in their closets, but we follow them as they follow Christ.
