Boys to Men: The Father-Son Crisis

'WorldWatch' by Joseph B. Baity

Boys raised without fathers suffer a much greater risk of truancy, dropping out of school, criminal activity, alcohol and drug abuse, unemployment, and lifelong poverty than do boys raised by both parents in the home. Young males are over-mothered and under-fathered. The absence of fathers contributes to a growing number of confused boys and young men who feel resentful and emasculated while struggling to reconcile their God-given masculine instincts with the social stigma attached to them. These young men fall behind academically, suffer from depression, delay or avoid joining the workforce, and fail to mature into adult men. The solution lies in returning to God. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God saw everything including males and females that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

Happy Father's Day

Commentary by Mike Ford

Even a poor father is better than no father. In a single parent household, children are 4 times as likely to be poor, have bad grades and a confused sexual identity.
