Our dress and grooming as Christians reflect much about our character and values. While God expects proper grooming to set a good example, the use of piercings, such as earrings by men, may indicate rebelliousness or a connection to counter-cultural practices. Much hinges on a person's attitude. As we grow in humility, modesty, and holiness through the grace and knowledge of God, involvement with such questionable practices should lessen and eventually cease. Men wearing earrings also falls under the principle of cross-dressing, which God deems an abomination.
