All Sifted Like Wheat (Part One)

Sermon by Mark Schindler

The word "mone" (G3438) in John 14:2 is translated as "mansions" and appears only twice in the New Testament, both times in John 14. It is found in verse 2 as "mansions" and in verse 23 as "house" in the New King James Version, though more accurately rendered as "abode" in the King James Version. These terms signify that we are the abodes of the Father and the Son individually. As we are being sifted like wheat in this world, we must not let our hearts be troubled, for we are being prepared for very specific spots in the Kingdom of God. We are the living temples, the many mansions in the Family of God, as the Father and Son see it, while undergoing the perfecting process in this challenging environment.

All Sifted Like Wheat (Part Two)

Sermon by Mark Schindler

Let us consider the word "mansions," derived from the Greek word *mone* (mon-ay'), which appears only twice in the New Testament as an abode or mansion, both instances in John 14. It is found in verse 2 and again in verse 23, translated as "house" in the NKJV, but more accurately as "abode" in the KJV. This term signifies the intimate dwelling place where the Father and the Son reside within those called into the Family of God, enabling them to follow the way for the glory of God. As temporary dwellings in the flesh, encompassing our physical hearts and minds, we carry the precious gift of God's Holy Spirit, the essence of the Father and Son, dwelling in us to continue in the way, just as Jesus Christ lived when He dwelled on this earth in truth. This indwelling ensures that we, as spiritual Israel, remain in the peace and unity that only Christ can provide, guarding against becoming unequally yoked with a world that cannot know the true way.

All Sifted Like Wheat (Part Three)

Sermon by Mark Schindler

The Greek word *moneē* (mon-ay', G3438) appears only twice in the New Testament, both instances in John 14, translated as "mansion" in verse 2 and as "abode" or "house" in verse 23, with "abode" being the more accurate rendering. This term signifies the intimate dwelling places within those called by the Father to His Son, where the Father and the Son reside through Their Holy Spirit. These mansions represent the spiritual abodes in which God's work of sanctification and perfection is carried out, enabling believers to learn and live the truth of God's Word in peaceful harmony with one another, despite the contentious world around them. Jesus Christ assures that He is arranging these parts to fit together perfectly, fostering peace within the Body as a witness to the world of Their divine work.
