In today's media, a clear bias targets Christians, where attacking them verbally is seen as free speech and even fashionable, while similar attacks on other groups are labeled hate crimes. The world despises Jesus Christ's teachings, and merely mentioning His name can provoke hostility. Christians in Asia and Africa face daily threats, enduring verbal abuse and violence for their faith. This prejudiced environment reflects a broader rejection of Christian values, contrasting with the protection of religious liberty in the American Constitution's First Amendment. Despite potential dark days of persecution, living righteously offers the assurance of salvation and reward in God's Kingdom, standing firm against hate and bias.

Safe Spaces or Dangerous Places? The Assault Upon Our Future (Part One)

'WorldWatch' by Joseph B. Baity

Freedom of speech, a cornerstone of Western democracy, is increasingly undermined by a liberal mindset in academia that promotes an anti-Western, anti-capitalist, and anti-Christian bias. This elitist, progressive group-think, under the guise of free speech, has given rise to overly restrictive environments on college campuses, such as safe spaces and trigger warnings. Safe spaces are designed to provide an environment where individuals can fully express themselves without fear of discomfort or challenge based on biological sex, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or cultural background, but in practice, they often exclude conservative or Christian viewpoints, allowing only like-minded individuals to share opinions. Trigger warnings, intended as notices for potentially distressing content in media or discussions, serve to discourage engagement with ideas that might trigger unpleasant memories or conflict with politically correct dogma. Both initiatives perpetuate a narcissistic victim mentality, expanding the definition of victim to include anyone discomforted by disagreeable ideas, thus prioritizing comfort and tolerance over critical thinking, morality, and conviction. This approach diminishes vital exposure to opposing viewpoints and hinders preparation for real-life situations, defining right versus wrong, and fostering initiative and leadership.

More Than Conquerors

CGG Weekly by Martin G. Collins

In today's media, a clear bias exists against Christians, where verbally attacking a homosexual, transgender individual, pro-abortion advocate, or Islamic terrorist is deemed a hate crime, while similar attacks on Christians are considered free speech, separation of church and state, and even fashionable. We inhabit a prejudiced and violent world that despises the teachings of Jesus Christ, where merely mentioning His name can provoke riotous behavior. Professing Christians in Asia and Africa face daily threats to their lives simply for gathering under the banner of His name, enduring verbal abuse and physical violence due to their association with Christ.

Eroding Religious Freedom

'Prophecy Watch' by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

In the context of religious liberty, the American Constitution ensures freedom of religion, as stated in the First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Despite this protection, there may come dreadful and dark days when religious freedom is stolen, leading to persecution and even loss of life. However, if we commit ourselves to living righteously, we hold the assurance from our faithful Creator that we will receive salvation and a great reward in His Kingdom.
