Judgment According to Works
Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Richard T. RitenbaughGod judges all people at all times according to their works. In the Great White Throne Judgment the dead stand before God and the books are opened so that they are judged each one according to his works. This standard applies equally to every person without regard to nationality birth or abilities. God searches the heart and tests the mind in order to render to each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. He evaluates a lifetime of deeds actions and behaviors rather than any single incident. God weighs every matter in proper proportion so that greater consequences receive stricter judgment. He considers ignorance of His will yet still judges according to actual deeds. His mercy provides time for repentance so that good fruit may be produced before final judgment occurs. Jesus Christ will reward each person according to his works at His coming. No one escapes this judgment because all things remain open to the eyes of God. His judgment remains consistent from the beginning to the end of human history and shows no partiality.
