Challenges
CGG Weekly by Gary MontgomeryThroughout life, challenges arise in various forms, from learning basic skills as children to managing responsibilities and relationships as adults. As Christians, these difficulties stimulate and test us daily, shaping our character and faith through adversity. We face trials in overcoming our carnal nature, resisting the influences of the world, and battling the forces of spiritual darkness led by satan. Many brethren currently endure hardships such as sickness, financial struggles, and relationship issues, all of which test our resolve. God desires us to overcome these obstacles, developing a godly attitude and perseverance to achieve perfection. Each of us encounters unique challenges, tailored tests of our ability to grow strong in faith, yet God promises that no trial will be beyond our capacity to bear, always providing a way of escape. Even when challenges seem overwhelming, we must hold fast to faith, trusting in the deliverance that God and Christ, our Elder Brother, assure us. Our Lord Himself faced immense challenges, confronting satan directly and enduring threats to His life, setting an example for us to follow as disciples. Through connection with Him, the Vine, and mutual support among fellow believers, we gain strength to conquer obstacles. Successfully overcoming each challenge with His help builds our resolve, confidence, and ability to face future adversities, fostering the faith and character God desires in us.
