Creator, Sustainer, Head (Part One)
CGG Weekly by David C. GrabbeJesus Christ is presented as supremely powerful, having created the ages through the will of the Father. He not only brought into existence the pre-Flood age and this present age but will also create the ages to come. His role extends beyond creation, as He upholds, maintains, guides, sustains, and propels all things by the word of His power. This includes everything from the galaxies and solar systems to the smallest details of life on earth, such as the life and death of each sparrow. Despite the natural law of entropy, which causes material things to break down over time, He manages this progression to ensure it aligns with His will and does not disrupt the creation of future ages. His precision is evident in the exact measurements and orbits of the earth, which sustain life. Furthermore, He holds the power over life itself, as He could withdraw His breath and cause all flesh to perish, just as He breathed life into creation. Through these acts, His sovereignty over all aspects of existence is affirmed, surpassing even the revered figures of the past like Abraham, as He is the Creator and Sustainer of all.
