The Appointed Time of the Resurrection

Sermonette by Clyde Finklea

The time of Christ's return appears to be soon in the light of recent events. Watch for the gathering of armies around the future capital of the world.

The Two Witnesses (Part Seven)

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The ministry of the two witnesses spans 3½ years, during which they possess extraordinary power to protect themselves from harm and to pronounce curses or miracles to underscore their message. Their testimony is completed precisely in 1260 days, as God ensures His servants always accomplish their work on time, with meticulous precision. At the conclusion of their 3½-year ministry, the Beast, who has been their adversary throughout, will overcome and kill them. Their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city, spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified, for 3½ days. During this period, people from various peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their bodies and refuse to allow them to be buried, showing ultimate disrespect. Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice, make merry, and send gifts to one another, relieved at the death of these two prophets who they felt tormented them. After 3½ days, the breath of life from God will enter the two witnesses, and they will stand on their feet, alive once more. Great fear will fall upon those who see them, dreading what might follow after their previous actions over the 3½ years. This resurrection mirrors the time Jesus Christ spent in the tomb, though differing slightly in duration, highlighting a connection between the two witnesses and Him.

The Two Witnesses (Part Four)

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The period of 3½ days holds significance in the context of the Two Witnesses' ministry. Their dead bodies will lie in the street for 3½ days, fulfilling prophecy and glorifying God by pointing to the truth of His Word. Even in death, they continue to witness for God during this time, as their presence testifies to His power and purpose. Additionally, their resurrection after these 3½ days will further serve as a powerful witness to God's authority and truth.
