During this period, people from various peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their bodies and refuse to allow them to be buried, showing ultimate disrespect. Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice, make merry, and send gifts to one another, relieved at the death of these two prophets who they felt tormented them. After 3½ days, the breath of life from God will enter the two witnesses, and they will stand on their feet, alive once more. Great fear will fall upon those who see them, dreading what might follow after their previous actions over the 3½ years. This resurrection mirrors the time Jesus Christ spent in the tomb, though differing slightly in duration, highlighting a connection between the two witnesses and Him.
