Resurrection AD 31

'Ready Answer' by Staff

At the moment of Jesus Christ's death in AD 31, a remarkable event unfolded in Jerusalem as recorded in Matthew 27:52-53. The graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. These resurrected saints, brought back to physical life, entered the holy city and appeared to many. Unlike the spiritual resurrection of Jesus Christ, their appearance bore no extraordinary traits, and they did not limit their visibility to a select few. Similar to Lazarus and others who experienced physical resurrections, these saints lived for an undetermined period, fulfilled the purpose for which they were raised, and eventually died again. This event stands as a unique recorded instance of a multiple physical resurrection, though it is not the only occurrence of such miracles in biblical accounts, with several happening both before and after this moment.

Two of Daniel's prophecies differ by 75 days, perhaps paralleling the 75 dramatic days between the resurrections of Lazarus and Jesus Christ.
