Does God Know in Advance If One Will Accept Christ as Savior?
Bible Questions & AnswersGod the Father must call a person for them to become a true Christian and obtain salvation, as no one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father draws him. Though God desires all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, many have not yet been called, and His selectiveness is based on time, calling some now and others later. God can foresee whether a person will accept His calling, as seen in the example of Abraham, where He knew the results of Abraham's obedience long before the test. Yet, despite His foreknowledge and powerful efforts to bring those He calls to salvation, God does not remove free will, allowing each individual to choose to accept or reject Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. As He commands, life and death, blessing and cursing are set before each person, and they must choose life for themselves and their descendants.
