Enter the Joy of Your Lord!
Article by StaffJesus Christ, the source of true joy, came to bring an abundant life to His followers, overflowing with pleasure and happiness. In His presence, there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Even without physically seeing Him, we can be in His presence to a remarkable degree, knowing that He is in us and we in Him, residing where fullness of joy exists. Jesus shares that His joy, which is the same as the Father's, may remain in us, so that our joy may be full. As we abide in Him and He in us, bearing much fruit through overcoming, keeping commandments, practicing faithfulness, and loving one another, we remain a joy to Him and participate in experiencing His joy. He rejoices in sharing what He has with others, bringing blessings to those who desire His company, and celebrating every person who repents. Bonding with us means so much to Him that He submitted to the ultimate sacrifice, and joining others to His Family supplies Him with great joy. When we start doing what brings Him happiness, the joy of the Lord becomes our joy, and true happiness comes from sharing in His life and work. By developing our God-given talents and allowing Him to prune us to produce fruit, we have something worthwhile to share, producing happiness in others and entering into the ultimate win-win relationship of joy for everyone involved.
