    Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah
    Shall again take root downward,

    And those who escape from Mount Zion.
    The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.’

  • James 1:13-15
    Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD. And he rose early in the morning, and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Then he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the LORD. And Moses took half the blood and put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient.” And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant which the LORD has made with you according to all these words.” Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank.

  • Job 28:1-28
    “Surely there is a mine for silver,
    And a place where gold is refined. Iron is taken from the earth,
    And copper is smelted from ore. Man puts an end to darkness,
    And searches every recess
    For ore in the darkness and the shadow of death. He breaks open a shaft away from people;
    In places forgotten by feet
    They hang far away from men;
    They swing to and fro. As for the earth, from it comes bread,
    But underneath it is turned up as by fire; Its stones are the source of sapphires,
    And it contains gold dust. That path no bird knows,
    Nor has the falcon’s eye seen it. The proud lions have not trodden it,
    Nor has the fierce lion passed over it. He puts his hand on the flint;
    He overturns the mountains at the roots. He cuts out channels in the rocks,
    And his eye sees every precious thing. He dams up the streams from trickling;
    What is hidden he brings forth to light. “But where can wisdom be found?
    And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know its value,
    Nor is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, ‘It is not in me’;
    And the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’ It cannot be purchased for gold,
    Nor can silver be weighed for its price. It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,
    In precious onyx or sapphire. Neither gold nor crystal can equal it,
    Nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,
    For the price of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,
    Nor can it be valued in pure gold. “From where then does wisdom come?
    And where is the place of understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all living,
    And concealed from the birds of the air. Destruction and Death say,
    ‘We have heard a report about it with our ears.’ God understands its way,
    And He knows its place. For He looks to the ends of the earth,
    And sees under the whole heavens, To establish a weight for the wind,
    And apportion the waters by measure. When He made a law for the rain,
    And a path for the thunderbolt, Then He saw wisdom and declared it;
    He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out. And to man He said,
    " Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
    And to depart from evil is understanding.""

  • Proverbs 2:2-5
    So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
    And apply your heart to understanding;
    Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
    And lift up your voice for understanding,
    If you seek her as silver,
    And search for her as for hidden treasures;
    Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
    And find the knowledge of God.

    Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim,
    Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower
    Which is at the head of the verdant valleys,
    To those who are overcome with wine!
    Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one,
    Like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm,
    Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing,
    Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.
    The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim,
    Will be trampled underfoot;

  • Isaiah 28:7-12
    But they also have erred through wine,
    And through intoxicating drink are out of the way;
    The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink,
    They are swallowed up by wine,
    They are out of the way through intoxicating drink;
    They err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
    For all tables are full of vomit and filth;
    No place is clean.

    And whom will he make to understand the message?

    Those just drawn from the breasts?
    For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept,
    Line upon line, line upon line,

    For with stammering lips and another tongue
    He will speak to this people,

    And, “This is the refreshing”;
    Yet they would not hear.

  • Isaiah 28:14-20
    Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men,
    Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,
    Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
    And with Sheol we are in agreement.
    When the overflowing scourge passes through,
    It will not come to us,
    For we have made lies our refuge,
    And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.” Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:
    “ Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
    A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
    Whoever believes will not act hastily.
    Also I will make justice the measuring line,
    And righteousness the plummet;
    The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
    And the waters will overflow the hiding place.
    Your covenant with death will be annulled,
    And your agreement with Sheol will not stand;
    When the overflowing scourge passes through,
    Then you will be trampled down by it.
    As often as it goes out it will take you;
    For morning by morning it will pass over,
    And by day and by night;
    It will be a terror just to understand the report.”

  • Isaiah 28:22-29
    Now therefore, do not be mockers,

    Listen and hear my speech.
    Does the plowman keep plowing all day to sow?
    Does he keep turning his soil and breaking the clods?
    When he has leveled its surface,
    Does he not sow the black cummin
    And scatter the cummin,
    Plant the wheat in rows,
    The barley in the appointed place,
    And the spelt in its place?
    For He instructs him in right judgment,
    His God teaches him.
    For the black cummin is not threshed with a threshing sledge,
    Nor is a cartwheel rolled over the cummin;
    But the black cummin is beaten out with a stick,
    And the cummin with a rod.
    Bread flour must be ground;
    Therefore he does not thresh it forever,
    Break it with his cartwheel,
    Or crush it with his horsemen.

    Lying children,
    Children who will not hear the law of the LORD;
    Who say to the seers, “Do not see,”
    And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things;
    Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

    They cannot bark;
    Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
    Yes, they are greedy dogs

    They all look to their own way,
    Every one for his own gain,
    From his own territory.

    And your sins have hidden His face from you,

    Your tongue has muttered perversity.

Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
