God's Workmanship (Part 1)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Before God began His workmanship, we were not doing good works, perhaps not even capable of what He considers to be good works. It is He that has made us, as declared in Psalm 100, motivating us to make a joyful noise, serve with gladness, and come before His presence with singing. God's creative powers did not end in the Garden of Eden; they continue in those He has called and chosen, granting repentance and giving His Spirit. We are God's spiritual workmanship, being formed after Him as the model, shaped into His spiritual, moral, ethical attitude, perspective, and character image. He is the sculptor, the artist, the potter, while we are the ones being shaped. God, the Creator, sends forth His Spirit to restore beauty to what has been defiled or to create something entirely new. His creative efforts are the source and driving force behind these awesome acts. When He sends forth His Spirit, spiritual re-creation occurs, enabling us to know Him. Good works, which please Him, are the effects of His Spirit being sent forth and delivering us, not the cause of deliverance. Salvation is divine creation, a process that God is working in us, as He continues to labor, giving us both the desire and the power to accomplish His will. We are caught up in a purpose we did not conceive, carried toward completion by a tidal wave of power that is God Himself, moving us toward perfection. All we can do is respond, yield, and go with the flow of His awesome power carrying us toward His Kingdom. Salvation is not so much our work as it is God's, with every chance for success because He is working in us to will and to do. Good works are the consequences and purpose of salvation, not the cause. We work downwards from salvation, expressing and manifesting what we possess, as we are His workmanship, created unto good works.

The Glory of God (Part 4): Glorifying God

Magic Doesn't Work (Part Two)

Real Conversion

The process of conversion is actually God's workmanship creating a new spiritual being with godly spiritual character- the image of Christ.

Looking Forward (Part 2)

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

Which button would someone have to push for you to leave the truth of God? The doctrines of grace and liberty have been perverted into tolerance of sin.

Ecclesiastes Resumed (Part Seventeen)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

Wisdom can be defined as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to the right measure. Wisdom is not given as a whole, but incrementally.
