Sermonette by Bill OnisickHope is the ability to expect positive outcomes despite current circumstances. Faith, hope, and love are the three elements of the fuel for our spiritual journey.
The Elements of Motivation (Part Three): Hope
'Personal' from John W. RitenbaughHope serves as a vital motivator in our spiritual journey, akin to a helmet that protects the head, the most crucial part of the body where thoughts, choices, and attitudes reside. This helmet of hope defends against the fiery darts of satan, safeguarding us from losing sight of the glorious end of God's purpose. It is not an offensive weapon but a defense, instilling the drive to persevere and endure through any challenge. Only the hopeful will press forward, while the hopeless may give up. This powerful force of hope propels us to endure to the end, as Jesus declares that those who endure will be saved. Its fruit is not merely optimism but a resolute determination to continue, fueled by the anticipation of future good that God has promised.
