Different pitches or frequencies have interesting effects on living things, including producing energy, happiness, and emotions. Music and movie producers have learned that the right combinations of musical phrases can influence an audience. The wide variety of sound frequencies all species use to communicate is amazing. What God has created is wonderful. Technology has enabled people to use high frequencies for positive and negative uses, ranging from torture and mind control to killing deadly cancer cells. What we see, feel, or hear all consist of frequencies. Our human bodies have frequencies and react to incoming frequencies. Some studies have indicated that exposure to higher frequencies produces energy and better health while lower frequencies diminish energy and produce weakness. Helel, who later became the prince and power of the air, was given the ability to produce and shape music (Ezekiel 28:11-13) knowing how combinations of sounds and frequencies can stimulate human lust and pride (I John 2:16) just as the music of the pagan holidays saturate our nervous systems. As we live in the Babylonian system, Satan's frequencies penetrate deep into our nervous systems. Sadly, many tune into the traditions of men, allowing the smooth unctuous tongues of Satan's ministers to pull them away from the lifesaving frequencies of God's Word, which should be implanted within all of God's chosen saints. If we isolate ourselves from God by refusing to read His word, we will not grow and will risk being cut off.

transcript:

The phrase, "Can you hear me now?" was made famous in the early 2000s as Paul Marcarelli entered into a multi-year partnership with Verizon Wireless and became the guy who asked the question in every commercial. The whole point of the commercials with the "Can you hear me now?" slogan was really an effort to highlight Verizon's expansive coverage and point out to customers of other wireless carriers what is the point of paying for minutes if you are not able to get a signal to make a call?

It is interesting how quickly society as a whole, and I really mean everyone around this world, has become so reliant on cell phones. They provide us with the ability to communicate with people almost anywhere in the world. Now, Verizon clearly set out to have the most cell coverage across America. I remember when cell phones did not exist. We had the wired phones and in my neighborhood, we had folks that had those really large antennas on their fireplaces or their chimneys. Even my uncle had one of these. It was a ham radio, and I remember one time he checked in with somebody across the United States on the ham radio and I thought that was pretty cool.

It is truly amazing how technology has advanced in so little time that we can actually "reach out and touch someone" thousands of miles away. That was for you AT&T subscribers all over the world.

Humans and many other species communicate through sound. We humans have two ears through which we are provided the ability to hear sound. Sound is defined by dictionary.com as "the sensation produced by stimulation of the organs of hearing by vibrations transmitted through the air or other medium." So sound is produced by a variety of vibrations and these vibrations have frequencies, which is incidentally the title of this message. Quoting from britannica.com on how frequencies are measured:

If the period or time interval required to complete one cycle or vibration is half a second, the frequency is two per second. If the period is 1-1/100th of an hour, the frequency is 100 per hour. The frequency which the moon revolves around the earth is slightly more than 12 cycles per year. And the frequency of the string of a violin is 440 vibrations or cycles per second.

Now, we primarily think of frequency as being how many times something happens. And the moon circling the earth at approximately 12 times per year certainly might come to mind. But have we thought that the sound that a string from a violin vibrates at 440 cycles per second? I certainly never have. Do we think about how sound is created by these vibrations that send out in frequencies? Now some of us who have been around for a few years will remember the early invention of the radio. If you are super lucky, you have experienced what it was like before digital to tune a particular channel in as you attempt to turn the dial just to the right hertz so that you could hear that music free and clear of static. And even more fun was trying to go from 88 megahertz all the way over to 108 hertz. It took forever.

I believe it was the early 50s (Joe is not here. I was going to ask him.) when the turntables of LP became widely used. And I remember when my parents would play LP's how they would crackle a bit as the disc went around. And as they aged, they would get some dust on them, so instead of getting the nice crisp song, you would have a bit of distortion along with the rest of it.

Speaking of distortion, how many of us remember the good old days of backmasking? For those who do not know what it is, according to Wikipedia, backmasking is a recording technique in which a message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. It is a deliberate process, whereas a message found through phonetic reversal may be unintentional. However, in 1969 rumors of a backmasked message in the Beatles song "Revolution 9" fueled the "Paul is dead" urban legend. Since at least the early 1980s, Christian groups in the United States alleged that backmasking was being used by prominent rock musicians for satanic purposes leading to record burning protests and proposed anti-backmasking legislation by state and federal governments during the 1980s as part of the "satanic panic" movement of the time. Satanic panic, I thought that was interesting. Nobody is panicking about Satan these days.

As a child of the 80s and 90s, I recall the concern about backmasking because the thought was that you would be listening to something that seemed good, but meanwhile you were being fed subliminal messages that had evil intent.

Well, here we are in the 21st century, and music depending on how you look at it and the technology that we use to listen to music, has come a long way. Sound has very interesting effects on living things. For example, do you remember a song or a movie that most likely had music in it that made you happy? Perhaps one that moved you to tears? You were not going through the experience of the person or the actor, yet you felt like you were there in the moment. Music and movie producers do this to capture their audience. Restaurants and store fronts, including clothing stores, grocery stores, and many others have relied on studies that show the type of music, and how the type of music and frequency that is played, can actually influence customers to eat more, stay longer, and even come back due to the memories music contributes to. It is all about whether the music is fast, slow, romantic, rock, or other. This is where we see that each frequency of sound can influence our actions.

Now, having thought of this topic several months ago, I think it came to the fore when our family had the opportunity recently to visit Discovery Cove there in Orlando, Florida. It was a wonderful time and quite a blessing for us. Our travels took us to Discovery Cove where we were able to get into the water up close and personal with Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins; and we had to split up our family because Conor was too young to participate. So Jenny went with Macy and I took Jack and Will.

While we are in the water (I think there was a total of seven people there besides us), they told us, "Ask any questions that you have, anything that you would like to know." And of course, being the chatty one of the family, I immediately jumped in and as we went through the activity, the trainer said something to the effect that she would "talk" with Kendall (that was the name of our dolphin), and felt that she had some type of communicative skills with her.

Immediately I searched my memory banks thinking that dolphins cannot hear human voices. That is why the trainers have those high pitched whistles. So I ended up asking the question that I thought I already knew. I asked, "Can Kendall hear you talking?" She of course answered, No, but I would like to think that she can. She went on to explain that the dolphins use echolocation to identify objects and clicking sounds for communication. Dolphins cannot hear our voices because similar to those AM and FM radios, they communicate on a different frequency. I was reassured that I had not forgotten everything I had learned in school.

The wide variety of frequency of sound that all species use to communicate is truly amazing. And what God has created is wonderful. Consider the following information related to frequencies. Let us start first with a quote from Nicola Tesla: "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."

Now to the fun facts. (I apologize for the long intro, but I wanted us to learn more about frequencies.)

New York City, according to NBC News, is considering a change from their current law enforcement sirens to those of the European nations, basically moving from the waaah to the weewoah weewoah, because apparently the weewoah provides less noise pollution. You see, the American siren utilizes a high pitched sound that most describe as piercing. And I thought, that is what it was supposed to do. Think of the last time a police car or fire unit passed by you. You most likely covered your ears. The European siren has a lower pitch and thus is less shocking to human ears.

In other news, police have developed a sound weapon. According to popularmechanics.com, during the 2014 Black Lives Matter protests in New York, the police deployed a long range acoustical device, or LRAD, to break up a crowd of people. Now audio producer, Corey Choi, provided Popular Mechanics with a description of his encounter with sound as a weapon.

Horrible, nauseating pain hit my body [he tells Popular Mechanics], and then I realized it was sound. At first you think, what's happening to me? Your body goes into complete pain and panic mode. It's the sound equivalent of looking into the sun.

Further reading indicates that the LRAD technology can permanently damage hearing if there is prolonged exposure. All of this is accomplished through specific frequencies and it does not stop there. The Washington Post, in an article published just a couple of days ago, December 20th, 2023, titled "Chinese Brain Warfare Includes Sleep Weapons, Thought Control." They quote an intelligence report that was recently released which said, "Electronic arms include soft kill radio waves that use electromagnetic energy for non-lethal attacks including drowsiness or cognitive impairment in adversaries." So that is basically the old fashioned mind control, if you ask me.

Now consider ultrasound, which are frequencies that are sent into human bodies to diagnose or determine certain ailments. The article I researched indicated that they bounce into the body then send echoes back which serve as a type of echolocation that I was describing the dolphins a minute or so ago. Ultrasound uses frequencies from 20 kilohertz up to several gigahertz to accomplish this imaging. I was thinking about this topic and I came across the article from Caltech.edu titled "Ultrasound Can Selectively Kill Cancer Cells." And of course, that got my attention. Quoting from the article:

Ultrasound waves, sound waves with frequencies higher than humans can hear, have been used as cancer treatment before, albeit in a broad brush approach. High intensity bursts of ultrasound can heat up tissue, killing cancer and normal cells in a target area. Now scientists and engineers are exploring the use of low in intensity pulsed ultrasound, or LIPUS, in an effort to create a more selective treatment.

So certain frequencies of sound can actually kill cells and they are currently working on fine-tuning this approach to kill only the bad cells or only the cancer cells.

Now, let us consider music for a bit. When we think of frequencies, music is probably one of the first things that we might think of along with the AMFM radio. Now, some of you musicians out there are familiar with tuning an instrument. I have covered some of this at the beginning, but I am going to quote from primesound.org's article, "432 Versus 440 Hertz Frequencies, a comprehensive examination" because they sum this up quite nicely. So quoting from the article:

The frequency of a sound wave is measured in units of Hertz where one hertz equals one cycle per second. The frequency of sound determines how high or low it sounds. When we hear it in music, the frequency of a sound is referred to as its pitch. Higher frequencies yield higher pitch sounds, whereas lower frequencies result in lower pitch sounds.

Four hundred thirty-two hertz appeared to be the standard pitch for music all the way up until the 20th century when 440 hertz was adopted as the new standard worldwide. So now there is this big debate as to which one is actually better. Back to the article,

One compelling argument in favor of 432 hertz lies in its mathematical simplicity and symmetry. For instance, when we examine the octaves of the C note in the 432 hertz tuning system, they turn out to be rounded even numbers. C-1 is at 32 hertz, C-2 is at 64 hertz, C-3 is at 128 hertz, and so on and so forth. This mathematic elegance is lost when we tune using 440 hertz.

I thought the mathematical elegance was interesting.

As I continued my research into frequencies I found that some believe that listening to music tuned to 432 hertz provides the listener with increased levels of mental and emotional clarity. That is also interesting. Did you know that the colors that we see have frequencies? They have wavelengths, frequencies, which, by the way, are measured in terahertz, which are pretty big numbers, and photon energy. Now, each vibrate and produce the frequencies that our human eyes are able to respond to, which is typically between 400 and 790 terahertz. This produces colors like violet, cyan, blue, green, yellow, basically the colors that we see in the rainbow.

Now, our human bodies also have frequencies. This one is a bit interesting because in the research I did, I found quite a bit of variation. Some scientists measure our bodies around 10 hertz. And yet another scientist who did extensive research on frequencies in the body, put them around 67 to 72 hertz, while others say a healthy person is right at 100 hertz. And still there is others that say we are actually at a higher frequency.

The point I will make here is that regardless if it is 10, 100, or higher, we are vibrating, we are a frequency. I did read that our body's frequency does change and it actually goes down when we are sick and it goes up when we are healthy.

What about fabric and the clothes that we wear? Obviously, everything is vibrating so it has a frequency. Do you know what material has the highest frequency? Linen made from flax has a frequency of 5,000 megahertz and wool also has a frequency of 5,000 megahertz. And those two are what are some call super-fabric. Also extremely interesting that if you wear them together, they actually cancel each other out. Apparently, linen's frequency flows right to left, whereas wool flows left to right.

As we have seen, everything that has been created has vibration and thus a frequency. These frequencies produce things that we cannot hear, things that we cannot see, things that we cannot feel, and they all accomplish the purpose for which God created them.

Now, it has been almost three months since the end of the Feast in early October. Over those last three or so months, what kind of frequencies have we been exposed to? What did you see, hear, and feel as we went through our daily lives, as Halloween and Christmas were celebrated? When you went shopping or turned on the TV, or flipped through your phone, what were you being tuned in to? We were being exposed to the traditions of men and evil things, things that are against God.

This exposure probably was not of our own doing. It is not like we can shut ourselves into our homes from November to December and pop back out on January 2nd. And it is not like we intentionally adjust the dial of the radio, so to speak, to Satan's channel, yet we were exposed to it.

One of the things that seems to get me every single year is the Christmas songs. A good friend of mine grew up celebrating Christmas. He is now in the church and he told me, "I can sing every single one of them." And here I am having never celebrated Christmas and yet every time I hear them in the store, it seems like I know the song. It is extremely frustrating.

Now, whether it is music, movies, or even just the things we see during these times, there is a constant barrage of what I will call "evil frequencies" that are impacting us, especially during the winter months and beyond. So let us head over for our first scripture, if you will, to Ephesians 2. We are going to jump into the meat of this subject.

Ephesians 2:1-3 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespass and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Now, Satan is called many things in the Bible and here we see Paul refer to him as the "prince of the power of the air." If you recall, the frequencies that we use to communicate travel through air, even through matter, and they are received and decoded by our ears. So let us continue to pull on this thread to see one of the ways Satan uses to work in the sons of disobedience and even us if we are tuning in to him instead of God. For our next scripture let us head over to Ezekiel 28. I think we know the story of Hillel's fall so I will not go into that in detail. Rather, I would like to highlight one of the things that God said about him.

Ezekiel 28:11-13 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord God: "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created."

We know quite a bit about how wonderful of a creation Hillel was in God's eyes. In fact, we know that everything God created was perfect. In addition to the beauty that God gave him, notice what He says,

Ezekiel 28:13 "The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created."

The King James Version uses the word tabrets, which is translated as a hand drummer or tambourine. But I think we can easily glean from here that Hillel was created with the ability to create musical instruments and form beautiful music that would be used to praise God. And I think that even after his fall that Satan is well versed in music and sound and its frequencies, and how they affect humans. Let us read verse 3, if you want to jump back there. We read,

Ezekiel 28:3 "Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can be hidden from you!"

I think that Satan knows a lot about God's creation and knows a lot about human nature as well. I am sure he is familiar with I John 2:16, "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world." Satan uses the things that we can feel, things we can see, and the very thing that caused him to stumble—pride. He knows pride works.

Let us turn over to II Corinthians 11. There are so many distractions that this world has to offer. Even beyond these pagan holidays, throughout the year we tune in or are affected by the things that we hear, even if we are not trying to dial in to that specific frequency. I am sure that Eve did not wake up that fateful morning thinking, "Today I'm going to disobey God." It was not until she heard Satan's crafty words that she faltered and it does not even seem like it was a long conversation. It was not like they sat down and had lunch together. It was just a couple of sentences. It was not even music. But what she heard from Satan convinced her that it would be okay to disobey God and sin.

II Corinthians 11:1-4 [Paul is here speaking to the Corinthians] Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly—and indeed you do bear with me. For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it.

Paul is fearful that the Corinthians might be as easily deceived as Eve was and he did not want that to happen. Using the frequency analogy, he was concerned that someone would come in and start playing a different channel or change the frequency that they were supposed to stay on, which is, being in tune with God. This new frequency would not necessarily sound too bad to the Corinthians. As quickly as Eve took of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, so might they corrupt themselves with a spirit that is not of God.

Now, it takes me a long time to pull messages together and I found it very interesting that across the past couple of weeks that Richard, Mark, Dr. Maas, and others have been speaking about false teachers, sticking to the truth, the liberty that God has given us, as well as coming out of Babylon. What we tune in to, the frequencies that we allow in, if they are not of God and His Spirit they may very well do us in, and we have to be on guard.

I think that most of you know that Jenny and I really do not post much on Facebook. I will get on every once in a while and I guess just get updates. I have been amazed and saddened over the years at what I have seen. I have seen casual friends that I met in the church over the years, maybe somebody that I met at Winter Family Weekend or the Feast and I friended them on Facebook. And this is not the only one, but it is the example that happened this year. But I opened up Facebook to see a post of their family picture for Halloween! So dad, mom, and the kids all dressed up in costumes on their way to trick or treat or whatever they are going to do. Just a couple of weeks later, I see their Christmas photos.

I am lost as to what happened. I saw these people at the Feast just a couple of years ago. How is it that they are celebrating the holidays? What changed? What happened? What convinced them to exchange the truth for the lie? What frequency did they tune into? Like I said, this certainly was not the first time and I am sure it will not be the last time, but it makes me want to be even more sure of my calling.

Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many."

Matthew 24:24 He [Jesus] said, "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand."

Let us turn over to Colossians 2 for our next scripture. The things that we hear, the things that we see, the things that we allow to have an impact on us, are the things that we will end up believing in. And Christ tells us that many will be deceived. Let us read Colossians 2, verses 1 through 10. (So, quite a few.) It is interesting, here, that Paul is speaking to the Colossians but he also mentions the Laodiceans.

Colossians 2:1-10 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with pervasive words.

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the traditions of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness for the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Now, it is unfortunate that so many tune in to the traditions of men. How many of these holidays are based off of traditions of men? How many of them are not included in the inspired written Word of God, the Bible? Our spiritual dial needs to be tuned in to our Creator and as Paul says, we are complete in Him.

I mentioned a couple of examples of how frequencies can have negative impacts on our bodies. I saw a study in my research and I can only go by their findings, so take it for what it is worth. I am not saying it is dogmatic or anything like that.

In their study of frequencies, they took two samples of the same blood and they separated them. One sample they put into a small soundproof room and the other sample they exposed to deep or lower frequencies that are very similar to what the heart makes while it is beating. After a set amount of time, they pulled both samples together and put them through a cell counting machine. The cells that were in complete silence were actually dying off, while the cells exposed to the frequency had multiplied, and in fact, multiplied so much the machine could not count them. It is quite interesting.

But how about us? Do we do well isolated from God, not listening to or reading His Word? Or do we do better when we are closer to God, hearing His Word, praying to Him, studying the truth and then living it? In John 15:5, Jesus reminds us, "I [Christ] am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for with without Me you can do nothing." If we are not tuning in to our Creator, if we are off, secluded alone in a vacuum, we will not grow and we risk being cut off.

One study I saw stated that cell membranes have receptors that respond to environmental signals. It is not the receptor of the antenna that makes the cell become something, it is what is broadcasted to that cell. I thought that was interesting because we know that God calls us through Christ. He removes the veil that allows us to see Him and respond to His calling. He is even now forming us into the very positions and places that He has for us in His church and family.

Once again, God gives us the ability to hear that frequency. Why would we listen to anything else?

We have seen that all things create vibrations that produce frequencies. Some are good, some are bad, some we can hear and feel, and others we cannot. Frequency affects our bodies, our minds, and our health. Being tuned in to the right frequency—God's frequency, if you will—is where our focus and energy should be placed. Satan, all too familiar with sound and music, called the prince of the power of the air, created beautifully and provided with the workmanship of timbrels and pipes, knows how to influence, distract, and deceive.

I John 4:4-6 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Now, for this message I was researching what frequencies the human ear can hear. The human ear generally can hear frequencies between 20 and 20,000 Hertz. And that varies based on age and health, things like that. So it is playing different frequencies because they say obviously as you get older, there are certain frequencies that you cannot hear. Like there are certain frequencies that if you are older than eight or nine you cannot hear.

So I found one of those, and thinking to myself that I am not that old, I found the YouTube video. I think it was 17,000 or 18,000 hertz, and I went ahead and played it and nothing happened. And I was like, well, let me go ahead and check everything: the play button is on; I am like, oh, I do not have the volume up, so I started to turn the volume up on my iPad, and of course I did not hear anything. So I turned it all the way up and my kids are screaming, "Oww, what's that noise?!" So it is quite painful for their ears!

And again, metaphors break down and examples break down at some point. But as John said, the world hears the world; those whom God has called hear Him. When we hear God, we are able to hear the truth and then practice the truth. We are tuned in to the frequency, if you will, of God. By being aligned with the Spirit of truth, we are provided with the ability to know what is of the spirit of error and that enables us to act.

Now, I believe it was Mr. Schindler that quoted the scripture recently, but by being in tune with God's Spirit we are instructed to not only be hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word. So please turn with me over to James 1.

James 1:21-25 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, not just hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Being able to hear God is truly a blessing. Satan, understanding God's plan, is doing everything possible to get us to change the channel, to listen to something else, to hear the world and what it has to say, which is really what he has to say.

But we must listen to God and His Word. And then, as James tells us, take action based on the truth He has revealed to us. God has given us, through His Spirit, access to understand His Word of truth which instructs, it heals, it guides, and it provides us with a direction to live the proper way of life—life that leads to eternal life with our Creator.

Here on earth, while we are still flesh, there is a battle for our mind. The daily choices we make, what we do, what we say, watch, listen to, all matter. Who are we tuned in to? Do we hear God?
