Preparing To Rule

Prepare to Teach

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Martin G. Collins

Christ's return is the most enormous rescue and renovation operation in human history. After a short, horrible tribulation, God will send Jesus Christ to an exhausted planet, and He will physically and spiritually restructure humanity and renovate the earth. The refugees, displaced persons, concentration-camp survivors, and scarred victims of the war to end all wars will need hope, joy, direction, and guidance, and the rebuilding of the waste places begins there. Many minds will have been spiritual waste places as well. Under the direction of the God Family, well-organized, ecologically integrated communities will spring up. Broad avenues lined with healthy, fragrant trees will shade children and the elderly, and beautiful community centers in park settings will host socials, youth activities, and wedding receptions. Everyone will sit under his vine and fig tree with no one to make them afraid (Micah 4:4). God will turn mourning to joy, and the land will again hear the voices of joy and gladness (Jeremiah 31:12-14; 33:9-11). The saints, as kings and priests, and those they train will teach and direct the design and planning of towns, farming policy, and liaison between communities. They will also oversee new, clean energy technologies such as wind, solar, hydrodynamic, and geothermal power. They will teach the wise use of the planet and the property rights of the World Tomorrow. The Feast of Tabernacles celebrates this coming world in advance, as an act of faith that God has the answers to the world's problems.

God was going to uproot the civilization that Baruch knew, but he was not to attempt to take advantage of the calamity for personal gain.
