The Problem with Pride

In the account of King Herod in Acts 12, we see a stark example of pride's destructive power. Arrayed in royal apparel, Herod neglected to give God the glory as the crowd offered praises to him as if he were a god. Immediately, an angel of the Lord struck him down because he did not honor God. This sudden judgment illustrates how pride, when left unchecked, leads to swift destruction, emphasizing the deadly and deceptive nature of this sin.
