Why Preach the Gospel to the World?
CGG Weekly by Richard T. RitenbaughJesus Christ declares in the Olivet Prophecy that this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. The preaching of the gospel serves as a testimony, providing evidence about who God is, what His standards are, what He is doing, and what is coming to fulfill His purpose. Through this witness, God ensures that humanity will have no excuse when He brings destruction on this world for its manifold sins and establishes His Kingdom in its aftermath. The gospel, as a warning message of repentance, calls people to turn from sin because God's Kingdom is at hand, aligning with the urgency and purpose of this testimony to the world.
