The capacity to identify such spirits forms part of the gift of discerning spirits, which grows essential amid rising end-time deception involving false prophets and lying wonders, enabling distinctions between holy and profane as well as clean and unclean while guiding decisions according to God's commandments. This discernment operates through the Holy Spirit's revelation of spiritual sources, whether from the Devil or otherwise, and finds its surest safeguard in constant engagement with Scripture that rings true like a crystal glass purged of impurities, allowing detection of any message out of harmony with the whole counsel of God.
