Globalism (Part Ten): Israel Versus the Beast
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerThe European version of globalism, with the European Union as its driver, is perceived by many Americans as a threat to the American way of life. This form of globalism is characterized by a lack of democratic principles, as seen in the structure of the European Union, which does not prioritize majority rule or the protection of minority rights in the way Americans traditionally understand equality before the law. European nations, in contrast to American individualism, are statist, secular, and post-patriotic, focusing on group hierarchies and rights rather than individual liberty. The looming influence of entities like the International Criminal Court further darkens the shadow over American sovereignty, suggesting a potential erosion of national autonomy under this European model of globalism.
Globalism (Part Five): Globalism's Teeth
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerGlobal integration is tenuous at best, as recent experiences demonstrate its fragility. Globalization, while seemingly dominant, is here today and gone tomorrow, quickly giving way to the overwhelming forces of disintegration. This backlash, characterized by tribalism rather than globalism, threatens to tear the social and economic fabric of the world to shreds. What has been witnessed in smaller communities, the rapid dissolution and fragmentation, the whole world will soon experience. Surprisingly, tribalism, not globalism, will define the coming decade, generating a powerful reaction against the push for international unity.
Globalism (Part Seven): The Countertide Rolls In
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerJust like a century ago, the march of global capitalism appears irresistible. In 1900, the first age of globalization was in its stride, with American and British interests joining to create the biggest economy the world had ever seen. In relative terms, it was every bit as interdependent as today's global economy. However, irresistible and unstoppable it was not, for by that same date, vast countervailing forces were militating against the British-led global economic initiative. The first age of globalism died violently, surprisingly, and suddenly in 1914. As strong and vigorous as it appears on the surface, is today's globalism really irresistible, a great tide inexorably wearing away the established order of things? Or are countervailing forces arising to destroy its promise of peace and prosperity? Is it doomed to die in unbelievable violence, as did its predecessor some 85 years ago? Notwithstanding the impression of success, globalization may not be coming up roses. A deep and vigorous countertide, described as a 'new tribalism,' is shaping our world. The only thing global about this countertide is its range; tribalism is hitting the beaches everywhere.
Globalism (Part Eleven): The International Criminal Court and Bad Law
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerThe rise of globalism, as exemplified by the International Criminal Court (ICC), poses a significant threat to American sovereignty and constitutionalism. The ICC, inaugurated on April 11, 2002, and based on the European model of governmental structure, represents a clear danger to America's ability to conduct foreign policy in her own interests and undermines the right of American citizens to determine their national domestic policy. Crafted during the 1997 Rome conference by a group antagonistic to American authority, the ICC treaty was designed to contravene her prerogatives, notably by prohibiting reservations that would allow the United States Senate to modify the treaty terms. The ICC claims jurisdiction over individuals, including American citizens and officials, regardless of whether the United States has ratified the treaty, asserting sovereign authority without the consent of the American people. This overreach is evident in its potential to demand the handover of U.S. citizens for trial, even for acts committed within American borders, showing no respect for the guarantees of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. Such actions mirror the erosion of national sovereignty seen in cases like the detention of Augusto Pinochet, where a small nation was bullied by a larger power under the guise of international law. From an American perspective, the ICC's structure stealthily erodes constitutionalism by creating authority outside and superior to the U.S. Constitution, inhibiting the autonomy of all three branches of the U.S. government. It replaces specific national laws with vague generalities susceptible to political agendas, operates without accountability to any popularly elected body, and empowers an independent Office of the Prosecutor with virtually unchecked power. Modeled after the bureaucrat-centric European Union, the ICC lacks legislative checks and balances, making it prone to domination by unaccountable interest groups with political motives, where justice becomes the least of its concerns. At heart, the danger of the ICC lies in its judicial nature, carrying an air of law that could mislead Americans, with their deep respect for legal principles, into accepting it as the principal judiciary of international law. Should this happen, a significant portion of American national sovereignty would be surrendered to a European-led entity, threatening the very freedoms and autonomy that define the nation.
Globalism (Part Eight): A Force for Conflict
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerGlobalism and tribalism are closely intertwined forces shaping the modern world, often seen as struggling for control over civilization. Globalism inherently carries the seeds of both integration and disintegration, working together to produce significant effects. One notable impact is that nations worldwide, including Israel's enemies, gain easy access to information and technologies, enabling them to develop advanced military, communication, and transportation infrastructures at an unprecedented pace. Charged by the energy of globalization, countries like China are changing rapidly, with economic capacity fueling military potential. A growing middle class in such nations may provide the opportunity for democracy to emerge, though the form it takes remains uncertain and could lead to varied outcomes, from soft authoritarianism to military dictatorship. God may use globalism to drive military advancements in nations like China, potentially aligning with His purposes, though the path is fraught with risks of instability and systemic collapse. An unstable nation under the pressures of global integration poses significant dangers, not only to itself but also to international peace and stability.
Globalism (Part Twelve): It Shall Never Be
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerRich America, ensnared in the materialistic trap of globalization, struggles to grasp that the loss of sovereignty means the loss of independence. The twin forces of globalism and tribalism are at work in our world, though globalization is here today and gone tomorrow. America, characterized by hubris, aims to lead a global community of nations, a modern Babel in rebellion against God. This desire is evident as she pushes her ideologies, culture, entertainment, and wares on the world. Yet, God declares that what they have in their mind shall never be. Meanwhile, far-reaching plans for economic consolidation are in progress, such as the development of an East Asian free trade area, which could include Japan, China, South Korea, and Southeast Asian countries. This bloc, with preferential trade arrangements and an Asian Monetary Fund holding nearly $1 trillion in reserves, could rival global financial institutions and challenge existing power structures.
Globalism (Part One): Founded on Fear and Faithlessness
'Prophecy Watch' by Charles WhitakerGlobalization undeniably impacts social and cultural features, often undermining them, though the pace of this erosion is surprisingly slow. The disparity in the rate of change between East and West continues to provide an advantage to the East in maintaining key social and cultural characteristics. Tradition persists even amidst the pervasive influences of globalization. Furthermore, the global economy is less interdependent than commonly assumed, with the United States producing nearly 90 percent of its goods and services for domestic use, and exports constituting 12 percent or less of GDP for the world's three largest economies—the United States, Japan, and the European Union as a unit.

Struggling to Coexist
'WorldWatch' by Joseph B. BaityIn the midst of great civil turmoil in 2026, America finds itself divided between Nationalists and Globalists. Nationalists advocate for a traditional approach to governance, emphasizing well-defined borders, laws, values, private property ownership, and the preservation of American sovereignty. Conversely, Globalists seek to diminish the importance of national and state borders, promoting unrestricted immigration and the near elimination of private property, while abandoning traditional Western values and national sovereignty. For many decades, particularly from 2021 through 2024, America experienced an unsustainable influx of illegal immigrants, with an estimated eleven to twenty million crossing the southern border, which globalist-leaning politicians virtually erased. This has led to significant taxpayer costs and allegations of widespread fraud within the immigration industry, potentially benefiting those same politicians. Many observers believe that Globalists desire a violent conflict to weaken America, making it less able to oppose their international movement and accelerating their goal of a one-world government. Meanwhile, some pundits declare that globalism is dead, at least in America, leaving the question of whether Americans possess the will for a protracted conflict or if cooler heads will prevail.
