Peace
Bible Study by Martin G. CollinsMan has long desired peace, but found it to be elusive because he does not know how to acquire it. True, heartfelt peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but a positive, proactive yielding to God and goodwill toward all. However, deceptive peace can lead to destruction, as false promises of peace often mask hidden dangers. The wicked cannot truly have peace, for the world does not recognize its essence, and false prophets proclaim 'Peace, peace!' when there is no peace. God's peace, in contrast, is a deep, spiritual gift granted through Jesus Christ, unaffected by worldly strife, and it requires effort on our part to seek and maintain, while ultimately, He will bring lasting peace to all mankind.
