Every generation since the beginning of creation has struggled to remain in peace, having been at war with the Creator or with their fellow man. Sadly, the development of America has been defined by wars, given birth by the Revolutionary war, fused together by the so-called Civil War, and expanded its territories and influence by the Spanish American War, World War I and World War II, allegedly ensuring peace by a powerful military and a strong economy relying on the strength of the dollar, called Pax Americana. The horrible carnage following every war led to a counter reaction of so called "Peace Movements," including the formation of the League of Nations and the United Nations, as well as a potpourri of multiple globalist, activist, and humanist. Vegan and feminist groups, including the Woman's Peace Union and the Raging Grannies, have no clue as to the source of real peace (Isaiah 59:8). The world has no idea where peace comes from because they have long ago rejected the Prince of Peace and His prescription for tranquility (John 14:27, Luke 14:27). Jesus promised His disciples, then and now, that He would give them peace, not as the world gives, because Satan has captured and highjacked every vestige of the peace movement trying to attain peace through carnal human effort, which is inherently hostile to every form of peace except for brutal , tyrannical force, imposing dictatorial power. Every effort for sustaining peace in the history of the world has been through investing power in elites to keep the masses in line. The best that the current leaders have provided is assembling a massive pile of nuclear and biological weapons to keep the intimidated nations at bay. C. S. Lewis assured mankind, "God cannot give us happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing."
