Discerning of Spirit

Sermonette by Ronny H. Graham

We need the ability to discriminate in spiritual matters. Grace does not cover unrepented sins nor fellowship with those contemptuous of God's laws.

The Gift of Discernment and Godly Love

'Ready Answer' by Ronny H. Graham

The Times They Are a-Changin'

Sermonette by Clyde Finklea

Bob Dylan's lyrics in 'The Times They Are A-changin' seem prescient; within a few years of Herbert Armstrong's death, heresies were imported into the church.

God's Perseverance With His Saints (Part Two)

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

We seriously err if we rely on the secular media to give us spiritual understanding. God sends strong delusion to those who do not love the truth.

The Essence of Self-Control

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

This nation has absorbed behaviors reminiscent of pagan Gentiles, surpassing them in decadence due to its affluence. Such behaviors include overindulgence, marked by revelry and drunkenness, which lead to disorder and sensuality. Additionally, lewdness and lust manifest as immodest actions and illicit indulgences, prevalent among those who do not know God. Strife and envy further characterize this lack of self-control, fostering contention and intense passions that degrade attitudes and relationships. These tendencies mirror the pagan practices of old, where unrestrained behavior was common, and stand in stark contrast to the call for purity and holiness among God's people. Moreover, spiritual immorality, akin to adultery, emerges when individuals are enticed by teachings contrary to God's will, such as those from Far Eastern and Native American religions. These pagan influences, often promoted in media like children's movies and cartoons with themes of the circle of life, yin yang, reincarnation, spirit guides, and dream catchers, pose a risk of spiritual unfaithfulness. Witchcraft, growing rapidly among young women in schools, further exemplifies this trend. It is imperative to guard against such influences to maintain spiritual purity and honor the sanctification that God desires for His followers.

The Heart's Self-Absorption

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

II Timothy 3:1-5 contains 19 characteristics of carnality. The common denominator is self-absorption and pride, placing the self above others.

Enduring as a Good Soldier

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

To wage spiritual warfare, we must endure hardship, not entangling ourselves in the affairs of the world, being single-minded in pleasing our Captain.

What Are You Going To Do About It?

Sermon by Charles Whitaker (1944-2021)

Activism is not the godly response to social ills. We must call out to God regarding our nation and our brethren as they are impacted by evil doers.
