The Feast of Firstfruits designate a specific period (namely 6000 years) when various ones will receive God's John 6:44 calling, comprising 144,000, who will rule with Jesus Christ during the Millennial Kingdom of God and into the Great White Throne Judgment, leading to the Heavenly Jerusalem. Six descriptors describe the special qualities God desires in His Firstfruits: 1.) God will engrave His name on their foreheads, making them His property, 2.) They will be the recipients of a new song only familiar to them, 3.) They will be betrothed and faithful to God alone, 4.) They will follow the Lamb wherever He goes, keeping His commandments and following His will, 5.) They will speak no guile or utter any falsehood, and 6.) they will have their consciences purged with the blood of Christ, putting themselves beyond the reach of blame, becoming ethically blameless as they pass under the rod of the Shepherd. All of us must continually examine ourselves to make sure these descriptors apply to us.
