God's Love and Teachings for His Children

Sermon by Kim Myers

We are God's children, belonging to Him, and with Him, all things are possible. God shows kindness and grace to His children, those who keep His commandments, demonstrating His love for us. He teaches His ways and laws to His children, not to the children of this world, having chosen us to be born into His Family at baptism. As part of the Family of God, we should not be overcome by fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, and as our Father, He protects and loves us, ensuring that whatever happens in our lives is for our good. Our confidence and faith in God, the Father of this Family, should keep us from fear, allowing us to rest assured in His presence. God loves His chosen children immensely, far beyond what we can fathom, and works with us in our conversion, building faith, trust, and confidence as we grow in His Family. We are deeply loved as His kids, and this love is constant, guiding us toward His Kingdom every moment of every day. As God's children, we can do all things through Him, for He empowers us with His Holy Spirit, a power not given to the followers of satan. We are blessed beyond measure, capable of overcoming any challenge with and through Christ. God watches over us constantly, able to care for us in ways we cannot fully comprehend, offering fabulous promises to His kids. We are the kids of God, distinct from the family of satan, shining as beacons of light in the world. Though we will face trials and corrections, God is always with us, loving and protecting us as His heirs with Christ. As God's children, we should not be consumed by worry, fear, or frustration, for He is with us, looking out for our concerns as a loving Father. Instead, we should focus on edifying one another, being at peace, supporting the weak, refraining from evil, rejoicing, and giving thanks in all things, reflecting the outgoing concern that defines His Family.

God Wants You

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by John O. Reid

God is deeply excited to share what He has with us, His children. We are called as the first fruits of God's calling, selected to ripen first and be sacred to Him. Through His Holy Spirit, He has given us the power to become children of God, to be part of the God Family, and to inherit the Kingdom of God. As children of God, we are led by His Spirit to glorify Him through the way we live. We are adopted into His Family, entitled to all that He possesses as legitimate heirs, joint heirs with Christ, sharing in the glory to come. Our future as children of God is to be changed from flesh to spirit, conformed to the image of Christ. God, the perfect Father, views this transformation as already accomplished, qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light, filled with joy, wisdom, and love. We are delivered from the power of darkness and the grief of this world, with Christ holding all power to help us stand and succeed. As part of the Family line of God, following Christ as the firstborn from the dead, our resurrection and change are promised, signified by the sounding of the trumpet when the dead will rise first, and those remaining will be transformed. Our citizenship as children of God is in heaven, belonging to the living God. We are called to prepare now, learning to be like God, putting into practice what we have been taught. In the Kingdom of God, we will be kings and priests, nurturing those who come out of the tribulation, healing the earth and God's people, and teaching them how to live. Starting small, we will grow in our roles, eventually preparing for the Great White Throne Judgment, guiding countless others as spirit beings. Our future extends to the expanding universe, with a vast and wonderful purpose ahead. God is for us, pulling for us with tender love, viewing us as His true children. He stands guard over us, ensuring we are His. Our trials and sufferings are temporary, as we look forward to the Kingdom of God, knowing we will be spirit beings under His watchful care. With the guarantee of His Holy Spirit, we have the down payment of our inheritance, assured of redemption and transformation. Our ultimate reward, a victor's crown of triumph, awaits us, a permanent symbol of honor for our faithful service, to be received in a grand ceremony at the throne of God, surrounded by angels and spirit beings, where we will be greeted with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

God Is . . . What?

Booklet by John W. Ritenbaugh

Jesus' own testimony reveals that He came to declare the Father to His people, showing the distinctiveness of two Personalities within the God Family. In His prayer before crucifixion, as recorded in John 17:20-22, He prays that we would all be one with the Father as He and the Father are one, demonstrating their unity in nature, mind, and Family, yet maintaining distinct personalities. This oneness with Them offers us the awesome opportunity to be part of the divine Family, inheriting His Kingdom as described in Matthew 25:34 and John 14:1-3. The fullness of this oneness will occur when we inherit His Kingdom, yet we will not lose our personal identity. Revelation 3:12 indicates we will be given a new name, establishing our individuality within the Family of God. Just as a child shares a family resemblance with his father while remaining distinguishable, Revelation 21:24 shows kings of nations as identifiable individuals within the Kingdom of God, retaining national characteristics even as spirit-composed beings. The overwhelming evidence points to God as one, a Family working in harmony to fulfill the purpose of bringing multiple billions into itself, molding the division of man's realm into the oneness of God through grace and creative power.
