The Binding of Satan
'Prophecy Watch' by Richard T. RitenbaughGod has prophesied that He will one day, for a time, remove Satan, the uninvited intruder who disturbed the peace and ruined paradise, to restore harmony between Himself and humanity. This binding of Satan after Christ's return will be a vital step toward the restitution of all things, facilitating a restored relationship during the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ on earth. During this period, the earth and its inhabitants will enjoy times of refreshing, as the Devil will be imprisoned for most of the Millennium. Without Satan's constant pressure to ignore or defy God, people will live, overcome, and grow with the guidance of godly teachers, making choices more inclined toward good. This restoration will open the way for astounding blessings, achievements, and advancements in the Millennium.
Examining God's Judgments
Sermon by John W. RitenbaughThe times of refreshing, as foretold, shall come from the presence of the Lord, heralding a profound restoration. This period marks a significant shift, where authority on earth transitions from unconverted man under the dominion of evil to mankind under the dominion of Christ and the Kingdom of God. When He comes, a restoring will take place, bringing back what was lost or establishing something good following a time of darkness. This restoration, prophesied since the world began, reflects a divine judgment to replace one order with another, setting the stage for reconciliation between God and man, a necessity since the separation caused by sin. Through these times of refreshing, the breach between humanity and God begins to heal, initiating a new era under His righteous rule.
The Needed Dimension
Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by John W. RitenbaughGod speaks of a time of refreshing, a relief from the pressures and curses brought by satan and sin, when the burdens of anger, anxiety, fear, pain, injustice, and hopelessness will be lifted. This time of refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord, as He sends Jesus Christ to bring about the restoration of all things, as prophesied by His holy prophets since the world began. This restoration includes both the reestablishment of what was lost and the creation of something new, signifying a lifting of burdens that will continue beyond the Feast of Tabernacles into the Last Great Day. During the Last Great Day, even more burdens will be lifted than during the Millennium, due to the vast number of people being dealt with, offering hope and salvation on a grand scale. This day, attached to the Feast of Tabernacles, serves as the capstone of God's plan, expanding His work to billions, finishing what He is doing among humanity. With Christ present and God's government ruling, coupled with the absence of satan, the opportunity for a peaceful, abundant, and productive life greatly increases, marking a significant step toward the ultimate refreshing and restoration promised by God.
