Sermon: Let Him Who Glories Glory in This (Part Four)
The Meekness of Wisdom
#1899B
Mark Schindler
Given 31-Oct-26; 37 minutes
Destructive, earthly wisdom differs greatly from the transformative nature of heavenly wisdom as framed by Jeremiah 9:23-24 and James 3:13-18. Grounded in the biblical concept of prautes—an inward posture of submission to God—the study uses key Old Testament figures to illustrate this divide. While the tragic downfall of Ahithophel demonstrates how self-serving, carnal counsel leads to self-destruction, King David's heart of repentance and his discerning grace toward Mephibosheth reveal how divine wisdom manifests through humility and mercy. Ultimately, the message cautions believers against evaluating others through shallow, worldly judgment, calling them instead to perceive and extend the quietly perfecting work of Christ within one another.
