Sermonette: Glory and Oneness

Given 30-Nov-19; 19 minutes

description: (hide)

In Jesus Christ's prayer on the eve of the Passover, He petitioned that He and His Father be one and that all of His disciples throughout time be at one, and this oneness will come from the glory that He gives. Christ exuded glory in His words and conduct as He provided a model of behavior for His disciples then and now. Our calling, our forgiveness, and God's truths are all examples of the grace (charis) God has bestowed upon us. Our fellowship with the Father provides a quality of life which transcends mere length of days. Unlike the faulty Protestant teaching, salvation does not describe a one-time event in the past, but a process which takes place during the life-long sanctification journey, culminating in our resurrection and glorification at which time we will see God as He is.
