The tumultuous year 2020 made the lesson plans for the walk of faith heavier and has greatly increased the uncertainty and discomfort for the entirety of the world's populace. The current Zeitgeist seems to promote a state of profound paralysis or a kind of limbo, in which no one knows how to proceed or free himself. Even those who desire to take a closer walk with God find themselves in an uncomfortable limbo, desiring to follow God, but intimidated by the satanic progressive forces encouraging compromise and spiritual timidity, describing the lukewarm Laodicean condition, attempting to have it both ways, trying unsuccessfully to harmonize righteousness and lawlessness. Even the greatest luminaries in scripture, including the prophet Elijah, stumbled, and faltered when intimidated by worldly tyrants not unlike those which intimidate Jacob's offspring today. Righteous Lot, by pitching his tent toward Sodom, had his morality eroded to accept the 'pragmatic necessary evil' of fornication and incest. Those of us living in modern Babylon are in mortal danger of having our nervous systems contaminated by antics of the progressive left, determined to keep infanticide, sodomy, and genital mutilation the law of the land—so much so that insurrection may be the new norm. We must resist being frozen in limbo, but stir up the gift of God, namely a sound and stable mind, determined to follow Almighty God and stifle the pulls of Satan, the world, and our own carnal minds, allowing us to walk out of the world's darkness into God's marvelous light (Ephesians 5:8).
