The Millennium, a 1000-year period following Christ's return, will be a time of profound transformation. Upon His return, Christ will crush the beast and the false prophet, then establish His kingdom on Earth. Baptized believers will instantly become spirit beings, joined by the resurrected faithful. Together, they will face an enormous task: rebuilding a world reshaped by earthquakes, war, and widespread destruction. The Millennium will primarily be an agricultural society, without electricity or modern conveniences initially. Desolate lands will be transformed into something resembling the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:33-36), and violence will have no place. Isaiah 11:6 paints a picture of extraordinary peace, where wolves dwell with lambs and a child leads lions. Survivors, numbering perhaps a billion people, will be frightened, confused, and in desperate need of guidance. Every skill set within the Church, whether carpentry, agriculture, counseling, medicine, or even motherhood, will serve a critical purpose. God has intentionally placed each person in their current circumstances to prepare them for these future roles. Drawing from John Ritenbaugh's sermon "Preparing to Rule," the world's deepest problems are not technological but spiritual, rooted in human nature and self-centeredness. Architects and engineers may possess technical expertise, but they do not know God. Those called now are learning to emulate God, to love generously, submit humbly, and serve others selflessly. These qualities, combined with a spirit mind and lifetime of human experience, will qualify believers to govern, counsel, and teach survivors God's way. Every trial, loss, and hardship experienced now carries purpose. Revelation 2:25-26 makes clear that ruling authority in the Millennium must be earned by holding fast and overcoming until the end.
