Beware the Second Flood (Part Two)

CGG Weekly by David C. Grabbe

In Jesus' parable, building on sand represents a foundation that cannot withstand the flood of life's trials and difficult circumstances. Those who hear Christ's sayings and act on them build a secure foundation, able to weather the onslaught. However, if the flood of information inspired by the serpent drowns out God's truth, our spiritual walk with Him will suffer, and we will be overwhelmed by the challenges of this age. The solution lies in cultivating a deep love for the truth, which is the spiritual reality of the Most High God and His firstborn Son, including Their purpose, will, and governance over our lives. By pursuing and protecting this truth, we ensure that the deceptive flood will not sweep away our unique standing before God.
