Racial animosity in America today is not spontaneous. It is manufactured by Critical Race Theory, a branch of the broader Critical Theory developed by the Frankfurt School, a group of dissident Marxists who aimed to tear down Western civilization, Christianity included. Critical Race Theory holds that America is rotten to the core, founded on white supremacy and patriarchy, that race is a social construct meant to uphold white privilege, and that racism is so omnipresent that every interaction between a white person and a person of color is marred by an imbalance of power. In effect, all whites and their every action are labeled racist. Groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter act out this philosophy, and about 84 percent of the violent incidents in this year's unrest involved them. The aim is not racial justice but revolution. Race serves as the tip of the spear, a vector for creating social unrest so that a Marxist revolution against capitalism can occur. Feminism, homosexuality, and LGBT causes were tried first and did not work well enough, so race became the trump card. It stirs up many blacks and also many whites who feel they have had too much privilege. Because this is fundamentally an economic and political struggle for power, not a racial one, and because it springs from hatred of God, it reflects the end-time attitudes Paul describes in II Timothy 3 and is a sign of the times.
