Maintaining Good Health (Part 8)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

Good health, whether physical or spiritual, is not a given in life. It cannot be taken for granted that it will always be there. Like everything else in life, it must be worked for and maintained, or it will regress toward a state of randomness. A poor spiritual diet results in one being spiritually weak, just as surely as a poor physical diet works to destroy a person's physical vitality. Many know very well what is good to eat and what is not, but they lazily pursue foods of poor quality or even foodless foods, disregarding the fact that sooner or later that carelessness will catch up with them in the form of poor health. Growth requires a good health program, whether physically or spiritually. A person can be in good spiritual health and then lose it through laziness, paralleling what so many do in their physical life.

Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated

Commentary by Martin G. Collins

Vaccine propaganda has permeated society to the extent that questioning vaccine safety is viewed as an act of utter madness. Those who suggest vaccines contain harmful ingredients are branded as foolish and disconnected from true science, while the belief in their complete harmlessness ignores the evidence of daily harm to children. Health outcomes differ starkly between vaccinated and unvaccinated children, with higher vaccination rates correlating with higher autism rates. Flu shots, despite claims to the contrary, still contain mercury listed as thimerosal, along with formaldehyde and aluminum, which are linked to severe health issues. The CDC misleads the public by stating mercury has been removed from childhood vaccines, yet influenza vaccines carry dangerously high levels of this neurotoxin, bypassing natural bodily defenses when injected directly into muscle tissue, sometimes crossing the blood/brain barrier. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program regularly updates data showing the severe health consequences of injecting such toxins, with the majority of settled injury cases, including deaths, linked to the flu shot. Studies reveal alarming disparities: Dr. Anthony Mawson's 2017 parent survey showed vaccinated children had significantly higher odds of ear infections, pneumonia, allergic rhinitis, other allergies, eczema, learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder compared to unvaccinated children, alongside increased healthcare utilization. The 2011 Salzburger Study found unvaccinated children had drastically lower rates of asthma, atopic dermatitis, allergies, and ADHD. The 2000 Guinea-Bissau Study indicated a doubled death rate among vaccinated children against diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough. The 1992 New Zealand Study reported vaccinated children had far higher rates of asthma and hyperactivity. From 2006 to 2015, over 2.8 billion doses of vaccines were distributed in the U.S., yet in 2016, 22,000 nurses refused mandatory vaccinations due to concerns over questionable ingredients, including neurotoxins like aluminum. A growing number of doctors, researchers, and organizations are voicing legitimate concerns about current immunization policies, supported by peer-reviewed studies and government statistics. In 2015, California mandated vaccinations, rejecting religious or personal objections, a policy that could spread nationwide.

Eating: How Good It Is! (Part Seven)

'Personal' from John W. Ritenbaugh

If a person believes that it does not matter at all what or how much he eats, or whether he ever exercises or gets proper amounts of sleep, will he not be subject to the consequences of such a lifestyle? Similarly, if a person carefully monitors his body's reactions to certain foods, how much he eats, his exercise and sleep patterns, and stays within what he has discovered works for him, will he not produce constructive results? We are utterly fantastic creations, fashioned from a combination of minerals, water, and spirit, kept alive by chemical and electrical processes that work according to predetermined laws upheld by the word of God's power. Our basic responsibility is to balance our life so that, as much as possible, we protect the body from the stresses that will overwhelm the system. The stress that frequently does the most damage to the majority of people is malnourishment. Often, the generally ignored cause of health problems is the quality of what we are supposedly consuming to keep our systems fit. Rarely do many question the nutritional value of what they are eating. Far too often, a long and painful period of very poor health precedes death because too many of us are giving in by neglecting those things that bring good health and a long abundant life, forfeiting it inch by inch, spoonful by spoonful. Is our Creator and Judge pleased with the way we are caring for the precious life He has given us? Life itself is a great gift because it opens the potential for even greater blessings. Show God you care by nurturing what He has freely given.
