The Ultimate Father's Day

Article by Staff

A day is coming, not too far away, that will be the ultimate Father's Day, the Day of the Father, when all the children of God will see, live with, and grow with our Father on earth. This glorious time, following Jesus Christ's millennial reign, marks the beginning of a new era as described in Revelation 21:1-5, where a new heaven and a new earth emerge, and the holy city, New Jerusalem, descends from heaven. A loud voice from heaven declares that the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away every tear, and there shall be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain, for the former things have passed away. He who sits on the throne proclaims, "Behold, I make all things new," affirming the truth and faithfulness of these words. This ultimate Father's Day will be a time when the focus is on Him and what He has planned for His children. It is His day, His time, when He will enjoy His many billions of sons and daughters, all in His image and character, living obediently in His grace according to His Word. As a loving Father, He will think of bestowing blessings on us, far beyond what we can imagine, as stated in I Corinthians 2:9, where eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. In His presence, there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore, as expressed in Psalm 16:11. God hasten this ultimate Father's Day, when our Father in heaven intimately reveals His plans, hopes, and dreams for His Family of beloved children.
