Acts 26 covers Paul recounting his conversion and ministry before Agrippa and Festus. Agrippa was knowledgeable about Jewish customs, so Festus brought him in to hear Paul's case. Though Agrippa was impacted by Paul's speech, he and Festus still decided to send Paul to Rome rather than acquit him, to appease the Jews. Paul was held under house arrest in Rome for 2 years, during which he preached freely and wrote letters to churches in Ephesus, Colossae, and Philippi. After being released around 64 AD, Paul traveled extensively, visiting churches in Macedonia, Asia Minor, Crete, and Greece. He was later imprisoned again in Rome and executed under Nero around 68 AD. Though the book of Acts ends abruptly, early church histories indicate Paul accomplished much between his releases, writing 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. He likely dictated Hebrews as well before being martyred as a Roman citizen by decapitation.
